Internship Opportunities

Bantwana Initiative Eswatini offers internship programs designed to provide students and recent graduates with hands-on experience in community development, public health, social work, and non-profit management within the unique context of Eswatini.

Program Overview

Our internships are structured to offer meaningful learning experiences while contributing directly to our mission. Interns work closely with our program teams, gaining insights into:

  • Designing and implementing community-based programs.
  • Data collection, monitoring, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and community partners.
  • Understanding the socio-economic and health challenges in Eswatini.
  • Developing professional skills in project management, communication, and cross-cultural competency.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (Social Work, Public Health, International Development, Education, etc.).
  • Strong academic standing and a demonstrated interest in community development or public health.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to Bantwana's values and mission.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in diverse and sometimes challenging environments.
  • Duration typically ranges from 3 to 12 months.

Areas of Placement

Health & HIV Programs

Support community health initiatives, HIV prevention, and GBV response activities.

Education Programs

Assist with mentorship, early warning systems, and life skills education.

Economic Strengthening

Engage with VSLAs, financial literacy programs, and income-generating activities.

Monitoring & Evaluation

Contribute to data analysis, reporting, and impact assessment.
